Commissioned by the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Neil Armstrong is waving to hometown crowd during the ticker-tape parade following his historic lunar landing in 1969.

Students from Wapakoneta middle school had the rare opportunity to witness the creation of this sculpture on several occasions and to interact with the artist.

This was truly a labor of love of the craft, coupled with my immense admiration and respect for this courageous space pioneer.
