Community Sculptures

Public Sculpting Events

Public sculpting events are community spaces where I am commissioned to create a sculpture. Often, over several months, a great many people witness the process of my sculpting, engage with me as the artist, and are fascinated by the final unveiling of the finished product. Through this process, others can view my art as it is being developed, and see how my ideas, vision, and imagination come together to create artistic splendor.

Sculptor, Michael Tizzano

I involve the community through “Public Sculpting Events” as I sculpt a historical gathering place - “Daily Chores...”

As a retired middle school art educator, I relish in the inquisitiveness of a three-year-old wanting to touch the clay, an onlooker asking questions about how the piece is engineered, or a Mom with two children inquiring about the bronzing process.
